End User License Agreement

By purchasing Riel Studio, you receive a license key and access to the Riel Studio online service, for personal use on the machines you own.

Two parts

Riel Studio has two parts: the Blender add-on installed on your computer, and the Riel Studio online service (license validation and node/workflow conversion performed on our servers) that the add-on connects to.

The add-on (GPL)

Because the add-on uses Blender's Python API, it is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) — the same license as Blender itself. You are free to use, modify, and redistribute the add-on's source files under the terms of the GPL. Nothing in this agreement limits the rights the GPL grants you over the add-on code.

The service and your license key

What you purchase is a license key and access to the online service. The online service is proprietary and provided as a hosted service; it is not distributed to you. Your license key is issued for personal use and bound to your device.

Restrictions

You may not resell, share, sublicense, transfer, or publicly post your license key. You may not circumvent, share, or resell access to the online service, or use it on behalf of others. These restrictions apply to your license key and the online service only — not to the GPL-licensed add-on code.

Warranty

Riel Studio is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from its use.

Activation & devices

Your license key is issued through Gumroad at purchase and is bound to your device for activation; a solo license may move to a new device automatically every 90 days, up to 4 times per year.
